Location: Whale Watching

Whale Watching by Kayak
Lovers' Point in Monterey is the departure point for our Whale Watching by Kayak trips. Every January, thousands of gray whales migrate from the Arctic Circle and pass close by Point Pinos on their way to Baja. We will paddle about five miles round trip to search for the whales. This trip is suitable for "athletic" beginners. You will enjoy it more if you have kayak experience and feel comfortable on the ocean.

Information on Dates and Times

Wildlife Cruise on Monterey Bay
Sea otters, seals, sea lions, whales and dolphins! The waters of the Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary are alive with animals of all types. Our six hour cruise aboard a 60' chartered boat  will take use from the wildlife rich kelp beds, out over the deep waters of the Monterey Bay Submarine Canyon.  We'll look for feeding humpback whales, nearly 90 species of sea birds such as albatross, murres and shearwaters and if we can, we will try to find blue whales, regular visitors to Monterey Bay and the largest animals on earth!

The Spring Migration of the Gray Whales Every year, thousands of whales pass the Central Coast on their way north to the rich feeding grounds of Alaska. Leaving Santa Cruz aboard our chartered boat, we head out into the Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary to see the marine wildlife and have an ocean experience. Join us for a day on the bay!

Offshore to the Farallon Islands Sitting just 26 miles west of Half Moon Bay, the Farallon Islands are a marine treasure. Heading out of the Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary aboard our chartered boat, we cross to the islands in the early morning hours. We time our trip to coinside with the end of the seabird nesting season and the beginning of the whale feeding. That way, we nearly always see puffins and humpback whales in the same day!
